KAREN SHAW

Karen Shaw is the executive director of development, leading the development team at Willamette University. Karen brings more than 30 years of nonprofit and more than 20 years of higher education advancement experience to the team, working for both large public and small private universities. She holds a BS in home economics/communication from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. She has authored a chapter on Indonesia in Women’s Lives Around the World: A Global Encyclopedia and on Latin America and the Caribbean in Women and Religion, which was recognized as a Library Journal “Best Reference Works” for 2021.

Karen lives in Salem with her cat Delilah, and in her spare time enjoys writing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
